DDES On The Move…

Our second year in business has seen tremendous growth for DDES going from just few employees to double digits.  We were awarded and executed several major radiological decontamination and decommissioning projects from pharmaceutical, industrial, and university clients.  In 2011, we terminated radioactive material licenses at five client sites and removed more than 250,000 pounds of contaminated materials from multiple client sites.

We broke new ground for our clients allowing them to make direct shipments of radioactive waste to disposal sites effectively cutting out brokerage markups.  We are currently working with a client to be one of the first industrial companies to direct ship greater than Class A waste to Texas for disposal.

DDES is pleased to announce the addition of Tracie Clemons, Shawn Jackson and Paul Marcum to our team.  In a time when many companies are declining, we continue to have robust growth due to our talented staff and successful project execution.  We are excited to have these individuals as part of our DDES team.

We look forward to an even more successful 2012 for DDES and would like to thank all our clients who made 2011 such a success for DDES.

Project Wins:

DDES completed the D&D of a major Radiochemistry Laboratory in the New Jersey.  The decommissioning included the removal and packaging of the remaining laboratory inventory, casework, fume hoods and the exhaust ventilation systems.  Our staff removed and packaged more than 150,000 pounds of LLRW under this scope of work.  This project gave us the opportunity to showcase our expertise in the removal of contaminated systems and building surfaces while maintaining contamination levels exacting client specifications.

We were also selected as the specialty radiological consultant for a Superfund Site Removal Action in Massachusetts.  We are pleased to be able to work with such a diverse and experienced team on this complex project.  This project has a wide variety of radiological and chemical decommissioning challenges for our staff in the months ahead.  We were pleased to have been selected from such an outstanding group of competitors for this high profile project.

Our Philosophy

DDES LLC was founded to primarily serve pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research companies that use radioactive materials for R&D or active production.
